Paul Graham on IT Coversations

Paul Graham has another great talk on IT Conversations about what business can learn from open source and blogging. Download it here.

There's some material from his previous talk on Great Hackers about the affront to productivity caused by the office environment but there's more focus on the work/pretending-to-work distinction and the politics that lead to that problem than the previous talk's focus on why Java/.NET suck and Lisp/Python/Ruby rock.

I've been toting this one around on my iPod for months but finally listened to it tonight as I wandered Bed Bath Beyond. Programmers — perhaps all office workers — will enjoy it.
