I’ve been silent for over ten months. Primarily it’s due to my life being nothing but work. There are lots of things I’d like to say about work but with all the news about people being fired for blogging about work and my desire to not offend, I’ve been hesitant to talk about it here.
As I do little outside of work, I’ve had a lack of good material. That isn’t really true but anything I’ve thought about writing hardly seems a topic worthy of breaking such a long drought. It reminds me of that episode of Friends where Ross has the internal monologue:
Ross [thinking]: Say something clever! Okay, doesn't have to be clever, it just has to be words. Say some words. Any words will do. Oh my God! This is the longest that anyone has not talked, ever! There is nothing you can say to make this worse! So just say something!
Ross [aloud]:I, uh, I haven't had sex in a very long time.
Ross [thinking]: Yeah, you really shouldn't have said anything.
Oh well. I’ll cover my lack of posts by making excuses. I can now move on to the real material with clear conscience.
